Our deer pens and deer handling facility are state-of-the-art. Designed to minimize stress and insure safe handling of both bucks and does, this deer handling facility incorporates the DEERHANDLER by Delclanyna, into an open-air deer barn designed for our South Texas weather.Our pens and lanes are 8 foot wire fence covered with a poly landfill liner as a site barrier. This material is UV resistant and should last 40 years. It is extremely slick and antlers can not get entangled. It is the best sight barrier we could find.
Our 27 deer pens range in size from 3/4 acre to 5 acres. These pens allow deer movement by taking advantage of the deer's natural curiosity. Pens measuring 100 by 300 feet encourage deer to move into lanes and to the handling facility.Each pen is designed to give each deer everything that is required to maximize their development potential. Free choice high quality protein pellets, alfalfa, and good water are provided to each pen continuously.
Our vaccination and animal health program insure all animals are in excellent health. All fawns are vaccinated at birth and at weaning. All deer are wormed quarterly.
